Professional BiographyEnglish Teacher
This is Ms. Melanie Stender's 16th year teaching high school English, and her 7th at SBHS. She earned an undergraduate degree in English Literature at Marietta College--Go Pioneers!--and graduate degree in reading from WVU. Before joining the faculty at Stone Bridge, she edited copy at Glencoe/McGraw-Hill and taught high school English in Ohio. During the 2019-2020 school year, she teaches three sections of AP English Language, and two sections of English 12. Ms. Stender also co-sponsors PEER and GSA.Ms. Stender enjoys cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and OSU Buckeyes; hiking and practicing yoga; exploring new places; and Facetiming her niece and nephew.
