Professional Biography English Teacher
This is Ms. Melanie Stender's 17th year teaching high school English, and her 8th at SBHS. She earned an undergraduate degree in English Literature at Marietta College--Go Pioneers!--and a graduate degree in reading and education from WVU. Before joining the faculty at Stone Bridge, she edited copy at Glencoe/McGraw-Hill, and taught high school English in Ohio. During the 2020-2021 school year, she teaches two sections of AP English Language and Composition, and three sections of English 12. Ms. Stender also co-sponsors PEER and GSA.Ms. Stender enjoys cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and OSU Buckeyes; hiking and practicing yoga; exploring new places; and Facetiming her niece and nephew.
