WELCOME TO MR. CAREY'S WEBSITE!
This website contains basic information on the course and on Mr. Carey. During the school year, information pertaining to specific assignments and tests will be provided regularly on Google Classroom, and in emails sent to parents periodically. Biography
Roger earned a B.A. in Philosophy from Eisenhower College of R.I.T. in 1983 and a M.A. in Teaching Secondary Social Studies from Binghamton University in 1986. He began his teaching career at Johnson City High School in New York in January of 1986.
Roger taught High School Social Studies in Oxford, New York from 1987 to 2010. Additionally, as an adjunct professor for the University of Albany, he taught college credit U.S. History classes for advanced students at Oxford Academy & Central School.
Roger worked here at Stone Hill as a technology assistant in the computer labs from 2011 through 2013. 2019-20 will be Roger's seventh year teaching Social Studies at Stone Hill.
He listens to a wide variety of music, loves History, enjoys playing Words With Friends, the computer game Civilization, watching Premier League Soccer and visiting with family and friends in New York, Pennsylvania, and Quebec.
