Welcome Moorefield Sharks! My name is Becky Buss and I’m looking forward to another great year teaching second grade. I have been teaching for 24 years; eleven of those years in Loudoun County. This is my eighth year teaching second grade at Moorefield Station. I have also taught kindergarten, first, third and fifth grades (but second grade is my favorite)!

I am originally from Michigan and have my Bachelor’s degree in teaching grades K-8. I have my Master’s degree in Teaching Reading and Language Arts, so of course one of my favorite things to teach is reading! We will be focusing much of our time on reading in second grade and I have a large classroom library with many books to choose from. We will also learn about Native Americans, lifecycles and weather, along with conducting some fun science experiments.

In my free time I love to read and spend time outdoors hiking or at the beach with my husband and two daughters.
