• Hello Sharks!! My name is Michelle Schroder.  I am embarking on my seventeenth year of teaching, and my first year teaching FUTURA! Before teaching FUTURA, I was third grade teacher at Moorefield Station.  I received my undergraduate degree from New York Institute of Technology where I majored in Accounting. I earned my Master of Education degree from Marymount University in 2000, and recently completed my Gifted Education endorsement program through the University of Virginia.

My family and I live in Loudoun County. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband Chris and two daughters Katie & Courtney. Katie is a a first year student at Frostburg State University and Courtney is a junior in high school. We love spending time at the beach together!  I love watching baseball, and I am a huge New York Yankees fan! I also love to travel, camp, read, bake, and dine out. I am enthusiastic about sharing my love of learning and hope to empower my students to be lifelong learners. I really enjoy teaching, and I'm looking forward to a great year full of learning and fun!
