Welcome Readers!  My name is Tricia Mulkey and I am one of the reading specialists at Moorefield Station Elementary School.   I am excited to begin another year of empowering Moorefield students to become independent and successful readers.

This is my 10th year at Moorefield Station and my 13th year as a reading specialist.  I have lived and taught in Loudoun County for 20 years.  I have also taught as a classroom teacher in Maryland, Spain and New Jersey.  I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Glassboro State College. I completed my Master of Science Degree in Education as well as my Reading Certification from Shenandoah University.

I am a lover of the beach, reading and my dogs.  I am looking forward to sharing my passion for reading with Moorefield Sharks.  Let's keep moving forward!

Hello Sharks!  My name is Lisa Loy and I am thrilled to be joining the Moorefield Station community.  This will be my 15th year as a reading specialist and 22nd year in LCPS.  Prior to becoming a reading specialist, I taught first grade in Loudoun County and Kindergarten in Maryland.

I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY.  I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education from the State University of NY at Fredonia and a Master of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Salisbury University.  I received my Reading Certification from Old Dominion University.

I live in Ashburn with my husband and two beautiful daughters.  In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, watching hockey, and traveling.  I look forward to a wonderful year of sharing my love of reading with my students and enabling them to become lifelong readers.
