Mrs. Wetmore, Mrs. Green, Mrs. Greathouse 
    Mrs. Green is excited to be entering her 12th year teaching in Loudoun County. This year, she will be working with grades 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Before becoming a reading specialist, she taught kindergarten, first and fifth grade. She has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Penn State University. She also has a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Reading Specialist certification from George Mason University. Mrs. Green feels privileged and excited to be part of the Trailblazer team and to work with the students, teachers, parents, and community members at Discovery Elementary. When not pursuing her passsion of working with children, Mrs. Green enjoys spending time with her husband and new baby boy.
    Mrs. Greathouse is excited to begin her eleventh year with LCPS! She was previously a classroom teacher before becoming a Reading Specialist.  Mrs. Greathouse grew up in Upstate New York, where she received her Bachelor's in Childhood Eduaction from SUNY Cortland.  After moving to Virginia, Mrs. Greathouse also finished her Master's degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Planning from the University of Phoenix.  Most recently, she recieved her Professional Studies Certificate from Shenandoah University in Reading Specialization.  In her free time, she enjoys yoga, spending time with her husband and daughter, and traveling. Mrs. Greathouse looks forward to another great year at Discovery Elementary!

    Hello Discovery Family!  I am Mrs. Wetmore,  one of two reading specialist for Kindergarten-Second grade.  I am starting my third year at Discovery in this role.   I am  a native Virginian but have had the wonderful opportunity to live abroad with my husband's career.  I received my Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from Virginia Commonwealth University.  Early in my teaching career, I taught Special Education at the elementary, middle, and high school levels in Virginia, North Carolina, and New Jersey.  I received my Master's Degree in Reading from the University of Virginia. I am passionate about reading and the amazing places it can take you! I am excited to share this passion with the students, parents, and staff at Discovery Elementary and look forward to a wonderful year!
