Jill is a 12-year resident of Loudoun County and has been married to her husband, Bill, for 20 years. They have three children. Their oldest child, Katie, is a 2010 graduate of Loudoun Valley High School and is currently studying education at Brigham Young University. Their two younger children attend Woodgrove High School. Prior to taking her seat on the board, Jill taught second grade at Cool Spring Elementary. Her husband is currently a sixth grade U.S. history teacher at River Bend Middle School.
A patriot at heart, Jill loves to study U.S. History and the Constitution. She is the organizer of Women for a Constitutional America, a group that meets monthly to learn about the Constitution and discuss current political issues, especially those pertaining to the Constitution.
Avid lovers of travel, Jill and her family have been all across this great nation, visiting nearly all 50 states on summer road trips. As often as possible, Jill and her husband are exploring the wonderful historical sites around the Washington, D.C., area. Another great love of Jill's is photography. Jill almost always has her camera with her!
Jill believes in strong communities. She has devoted countless hours volunteering her time to the communities in which she has lived. Her volunteer efforts have included: working in her children's classrooms, helping with the Grad Night celebration at Loudoun Valley High School, teaching at her church, serving as a youth leader, coaching cheerleading for ULYFL, and serving on the Ashburn Library Advisory Board. Jill is active in her church, serving as a youth leader and teacher.
Jill earned a bachelor’s of science from Brigham Young University and a master’s of education from Shenandoah University.
More than anything, Jill is an everyday wife, mom and community member. Her desire to serve the residents of the Blue Ridge District is sincere. Her greatest hope is to bring the community together to work as one to provide the best possible education for the children of Loudoun County.
