Hello, my name is Trish Organ and this is my 12th year at Smart's Mill. I have worked in various positions throughout my career.  I started out as the Autism Teacher, then became the Special Education Department Chair, taught 8th grade English Language Arts (ELA) and 6th grade ELA.  I moved to Virginia from Texas in July 2012. In Texas, I attended the University of North Texas and was a Special Education Teacher. 
 

I have been happily married for 29 years, have two children, a foster child, two amazing Grandchildren, and 3 future grandchildren.  My son Aj graduated from Bridgewater College and is working at Domininion.  My daughter Kristina works as an Autism teacher in West Virginia. My foster child Jordan is working in the construction field. My grandson Cayden is 6 and starts First grade this year and my granddaughter Delylah is 4 and starts Pre-K this year.  They live nearby so that I can see them often. I will have to say "nothing is better than being a Grandma".
