    Mrs. Wortman is a graduate of Loudoun County Public Schools and has devoted her career to teaching Family and Consumer Sciences in Loudoun County. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Home Economics Education from Carson Newman University and a Master’s degree in Technology Education from George Mason University. 

    The courses offered in Family and Consumer Sciences prepares students for college, the workplace, and real life. Believing that we learn best when we apply knowledge to our daily experiences, Mrs. Wortman looks forward to watching her students grow as they learn how to effectively collaborate in groups as well as work independently. Making better choices, learning from mistakes, and displaying mutual respect towards one another just makes the classroom and life more enjoyable.

    Mrs. Wortman cherishes the time she spends with her family and friends. She enjoys quilting, pyrography, snow days, as well as cooking and baking when there aren't deadlines.
