Welcome to Dominion High School
This is Mrs. Anselene's 13th year as an educator at the secondary level. She has spent the past 12 years teaching at Dominion High School in a variety of subjects, settings, and grade levels. Mrs. Anselene has spent the past nine years teaching English 11 and 12 within the self-contained and academic classrooms. During the 2016-2017 school year, she will be teaching English 11. She will collaborate with Mrs. Glynn as team-teachers in English 11 at the academic level. In addition, she will be the instructor of the English 11 self-contained classes.
Mrs. Anselene is a graduate of West Virginia University. She has a Masters of Arts in Elementary and Special Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies, as well as a certification in English at the secondary level. For twelve years, Mrs. Anselene has served as a mentor within the Teacher Induction, Mentor, and Coaching Program for teachers new to Loudoun County Public Schools. Mrs. Anselene also serves as is a Special Education designee for Dominion High School.
Mrs. Anselene believes in creating an educational environment where all students feel respected and capable of reaching academic and personal success. She is looking forward to a year filled with exciting challenges, tremendous growth, and great acheivement for her students!
