Welcome to Sully Elementary!
You are going to have a blast in First Grade. We are going to go on many adventures that will help you grow into a confident reader, writer, mathematician and scientist. We'll continue learning how to become friendly & kind. Sully Hornets show the 3Rs- respectful, responsible, and ready- each and every day! We are going to have an amazing school year!
We hope to see you for some upcoming Sully Events. Mark your calendars for the following:
- Sully's Open House will be held for parents and students on Wednesday, August 23rd from 10:00am – 12:00pm.
- Sully’s Back to School Event will be held on Wednesday, September 6th from 6:00pm - 7:30pm.
We can’t wait for the first day of school, Thursday, August 24th!

Ms. Annie Felton
Hi, my name is Annie Felton. I am excited for my new adventure at Sully Elementary. The 2023-2024 school year starts my 27th year of teaching. I received my BS degree from The University of Valley Forge.I have taught 2nd grade for 22 years and 1st grade for four years in Frederick County Va. I have three adult children. I enjoy spending time with my family especially at the beach.

Mrs. Brenn Galvez
Hello first grade students and parents! My name is Mrs. Brenn Galvez and I am very excited to start another great year of teaching at Sully Elementary.Teaching has been my dream job since I was in second grade! I am originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana but moved to Virginia before I got married. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary and Special Education from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. I also have my Master's degree through George Mason University in Literacy Leadership. Outside of school, I love to paint and write stories when I am not spending time with my husband and son.
I can't wait for another amazing year as a Sully Hornet!

Mrs. Sara Le
Hello Hornet Families!! My name is Sara Le and this will be my 7th year teaching first grade. The 23-24 school year will be my first year at Sully! I am very excited to join the Sully team. I spent the last 6 years at Guilford Elementary. I am a Loudoun County native and I am so happy to be teaching in the place where I grew up. I live in Ashburn with my husband and 4 boys.
I graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor's degree in Administration of Justice. I attended Shenandoah University to obtain my Elementary Education Prek-6 endorsement/license. I have a Masters degree from Liberty University in Elementary Education-Curriculum and Instruction. I also obtained a Graduate Certificate in TESOL from The George Washington University.

Ms. Megan Leonard
Hi Hornets! This will be my first year at Sully but I have previously taught 1st grade in Fairfax County and Charlottesville City. I graduated from the University of Virginia with an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Masters in Teaching. In my spare time I enjoy playing with my dog, Bennett, and cheering on the Hoos. I look forward to a wonderful year together!
Meet the English Learner (EL) Teachers

Ms. Yoon Sun Chang
Hello!
My name is Ms. Chang and I am one of the EL teachers that will be working with 1st grade students this year. I graduated from Virginia tech with my bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Music. I recently graduated from George Mason University with my Master's in Education and Curriculum with a concentration in EL. I have previously worked with LCPS as a TA for 1st grade and as a substitute.
This will be my first year at Sully and as a teacher! I am very excited to meet all the students and families and look forward to having a great year!

Mrs. Samantha Moore
Hello! My name is Mrs. Moore. When the school year starts, I will become a first grade English language teacher here at Sully. Previously, I taught with the third and fourth grade teams. The 2023-2024 school year will be my sixth year at Sully. I live with my husband, our dog, and our daughter Charlotte who will be 2 1/2 years old this summer. Have a great summer and I will see you all in August!
