• I am excited to be here teaching chemistry at Tuscarora High School! I have been teaching chemistry for the last nine years in Shenandoah County, Virginia. I am a career switcher from chemical engineering to teaching chemistry. I am originally from Boyds, Maryland and graduated from University of Maryland College Park with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. I worked as a chemical engineer for nine years in the rocket propellant industry after graduating from college. I then moved with my family to Canada (3 years) and then Hawaii (9 years) after working as a chemical engineer before moving back to Virginia. I have now been living in Virginia for the last 11 years. I have two children, one is a freshman at JMU and the other just graduated from Radford University. I am excited to be working with the students at Tuscarora High School and an amazing team of chemistry teachers! Please feel free to contact me.
