    Ms. Georgarakis

I have been teaching chemistry at Tuscarora High School since 2016 and have taught chemistry in Virginia since 2008. I am proud to be a Husky since 2016! I am a career switcher from chemical engineering to teaching chemistry. I am originally from Boyds, Maryland and graduated from University of Maryland College Park with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. I worked as a chemical engineer for nine years in the rocket propellant industry after graduating from college. I then moved with my family to Canada (3 years) and then Hawaii (9 years) after working as a chemical engineer before moving back to Virginia. I have been living in Virginia since 2006. I have two adult children as well as a rescue calico cat and a cockapoo puppy. I am excited to be working with the amazing and talented students at Tuscarora High School. Please feel free to contact me.
