My name is Darell Eldridge, your child’s Fourth Grade teacher. This is my 13th year teaching here in Loudoun County and my 8th year at Seldens. Seven summers ago I transferred from Meadowland Elementary where I taught Third Grade for the previous five years. Before I taught in Loudoun I spent two years teaching in my home state of Michigan (Go Detroit Tigers!). I attended Valley Forge Christian College and received my degree in Elementary Education. A few summers ago I finished my master's program with the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign earning a degree in Educational Policy with an emphasis on Global Studies in Education. I currently live in the Wild and Wonderful state of West Virginia with my wife, 10 year old daughter, and our 7 year old son. (Zoe and Logan)
Very quickly my students will find that one thing I love to do is travel in my spare time and I enjoy more than anything sharing my personal stories of goofy blunders I have made. The past few summers my family has spent a lot of time in Costa Rica (Ask about my experiences with scorpions). Also, in my personal time I enjoy reading, running, fishing, going to the movies, working on cars, and most importantly spending quality time with my family.
I am looking forward to working with your child and very closely with you over the course of the 2019-2020 school year. Please feel free to e-mail me with any question you may have.
