Professional Biography Mr. Thomas J. Sakole
Social Sciences and Global StudiesI am excited to begin my third year with the Social Sciences and Global Studies department at Riverside High School! I returned to the United States three years ago after spending a year teaching abroad in Dubai at the elite private school, Dubai American Academy, located in the United Arab Emirates. Prior to my time at Riverside, I taught at Broad Run for 3 years before my sabbatical abroad and the year I returned. Before coming to Loudoun County Public Schools, I taught at Westfield HS in Fairfax County for 12 years, where I was also the AP Coordinator and the FCPS Advanced Academics Specialist for AP World History. I have been teaching AP World History since the course's inception in 2001 and have acted as a consultant to the College Board and as an Exam Leader for the AP World History exam. Prior to teaching, I worked in the financial industry. I absolutely LOVE to travel and have visited 6 of the 7 continents and 51 countries! I'm looking forward to the school year and getting to know my new 2019-2020 #RAMILY!
