Mrs. Karen Helble

Greetings! 2005 was my first year at Blue Ridge and I have enjoyed having students from all three grades for Resource and sponsoring our BRMS yearbook. I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Mary Washington College, with a double major in Biology and Studio Art. My husband and I are Pewtersmiths and have operated our own business, K & S Pewter, for nearly 40 years. We demonstrate our colonial craft at Mount Vernon and show our work at the Gateway Gallery. Calligraphy is another passion of mine... I have taught classes through the Waterford Craft School, Loudoun County Adult Education and the Round Hill Arts Center. In my spare time, you can find me outdoors. I love gardening and seek any opportunity to hike on the mountain for a spectacular view from the Blue Ridge! I invested many years with area youth, sharing my love of hiking and camping, as a Girl Scout Leader and Service Unit Manager for 30 troops in the Leesburg/ Lucketts area.
