     Alexander Cleveland
     Latin Teacher 

    Magister Cleveland is in his second year teaching all levels of Latin in Loudoun County.  He hails from Sweetwater, Tennessee, a small town between Knoxville and Chattanooga.  He received a B.A. in Classics and Archaeology from The George Washington University and an M.A. in Classical Archaeology from Florida State University, focusing on Etruscan religion and writing his masters thesis on themes of prophecy on the Portland Vase.  Mr. Cleveland has participated in the excavation of the bronze age site of Tel Kabri in Israel and of the Etruscan site of Poggio Civitate in Italy.
