Mr. Youngs continues as an Earth Science teacher at Dominion High School. After spending four years with Loudoun County Public Schools as a substitute teacher, two years at DHS, he earned his teaching licensure in 2006 at Old Dominion University through the Virginia Career Switcher Program.Prior to becoming an Earth Science teacher, Mr. Youngs enjoyed a career in coal mining exploration, development, and management with AMAX Energy and Minerals, Inc. His work took him to mining locations throughout the United States and to South Africa.Mr. Youngs also holds an endorsement to teach English and strives to encourage his students to adopt an appreciation for reading and writing across all curriculums. He attended Indiana University where he earned a bachelors degree.
