Mrs. Nameth earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from West Virginia University. She attended WVU on a full athletic scholarship as a member of the women’s basketball team and earned a graduate assistant position advising the school of journalism while completing her Master’s degree. As a student –athlete, time management became a key to her success and she looks forward to sharing her strategies with your children in their educational journey.
Mrs. Nameth started her counseling career at WVU working with college students through the student assistance program. Then she worked at George Mason University as the Health Education Program Coordinator working with peer educators. From there she entered Fairfax County Public Schools as a school counselor at West Potomac High School and then Herndon Middle School. She took time off to stay at home with her two children working part-time at Waterford Elementary School. After working as a counselor with all age groups she decided that she truly belongs in Middle School. She is also a former Mustang parent with a son who is a sophmore at William and Mary and a daughter who is a junior at James Madison University. She loved the opportunity to work as a long term substitute when Mrs. Jeane was on maternity leave which spurred her interest to return to school counseling full-time. She feels fortunate to have the opportunity to work and live in the same community and greatly appreciates your support as we work together to prepare our children for the future.
