    I am in my 20th year as an English teacher, 4th year as English chair at Champe HS. I graduated from West Virginia University with a B.S. in Secondary Education (with a focus on English and Language Arts) and a minor in communications. When I moved to Virginia 16 years ago, I continued my studies and completed her M.A. in English and Literature at George Mason University.  Most recently, I completed an endorsement in  Educational Leadership at Shenandoah University.

    Students will heavily utilize the online program Blackboard. These accounts are created and maintained through Northern Virginia Community College, so only students and teacher have access.  As such, if you are a parent/guardian, and have questions about specific online coursework, you will need to contact the instructor.
