Mrs. Reles is excited to welcome her new students and their families to Kindergarten at Frederick Douglass Elementary.  FDE holds a special place in her heart.  She remains part of the team who helped to build the school community when FDE first opened its doors in 2012.  Mrs. Reles will begin her 20th year of teaching in the Loudoun County Public Schools.  After working as a reading specialist in LCPS for a number of years, she chose to return to the classroom.

Kindergarten students will participate in Outdoor Learning experiences throughout the school year.  Nature Walks within the school campus and Garden Lab observations will be a regular focus of instruction.  Student learning in the "real world" is simply more engaging and fun!

Mrs. Reles has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, N-6, from the State University of New York, College at Oswego, and a Masters of Science degree in Reading Education, K-12, from the State University of New York at Albany.  Prior to teaching in Virginia, Mrs. Reles was a 1st grade teacher and a reading specialist in New York.
