    Matthew Wilburn - Principal 

    Mr. Matt Wilburn began his teaching career with Manassas City Public Schools. He moved to Loudoun County Public Schools in 2001 and became assistant principal of Stone Bridge High School in 2004.  He is a graduate of Princess Anne High School in (Virginia Beach) and West Virginia University (BS-Secondary Education, MA-Educational Leadership).

    Sheila Colbert Alzate - Assistant Principa

    Sheila served as assistant principal at Herndon High School and was the Health and Physical Education Department Chair and Academic Intervention Coordinator at South Lakes High School prior to coming to Stone Bridge High School. She is a graduate of Loudoun Valley High School and received her
    Bachelor and Master's degrees from Frostburg State University.  She also received an Administrative Endorsement in Educational Leadership from George Mason University.
     Stacee Huffer  

    Stacee Huffer - Assistant Principal

    Mrs. Huffer is joining the Stone Bridge Administrative Team after moving to Loudoun County from Texas.  Previously, she taught English Language Arts for 11 years and was the Department Chair and Instructional Coach.  Before her move to Virginia, she was an assistant principal for three years at the middle school level.  She holds a BA in English from Sam Houston State University and Masters in Curriculum/ Instruction and Administration from McDaniel College.  Mrs. Huffer's responsibilities include:

    • Supervisor of English, Special Education, and Fine Arts Departments

    Kevin Tyson - Assistant Principal

    Stone Bridge High School is very pleased to welcome Kevin Tyson as our new Assistant Principal.  A native of Enterprise, AL, Mr. Tyson is a graduate of Murphy High School (Mobile, AL), Howard University (BS-Human Performance) and Regent University (M.Ed-Ed. Leadership).  He has previously served as a Teaching Assistant, Teacher, and Dean with Loudoun County Public Schools.  Additionally, he served as Career Tech Director and Assistant Principal in Midfield, AL.  Mr. Tyson is an avid University of Alabama Crimson Tide fan.  His responsibilities include:
    • Administrator for students with last names P-Z
    • Building Maintenance
    • Supervisor of Science, Social Science, and CTE departments
    • PBIS Coordinator
    • Coordinator of the Emergency Response Plan
    • Saturday School Coordinator

    Tim Lucas - Director of School Counseling

    Mr. Lucas is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree.  After working in the corporate world for many years Mr. Lucas returned to school and obtained his Masters Degree in School Counseling and Development from George Mason University. A passionate North Carolina basketball fan, Mr. Lucas has been the director of School Counseling at Stone Bridge since the school opened in 2000.


    Adriana Rice - Activities Coordinator

    Mrs. Rice serves as our Activities Coordinator. Mrs Rice joined Stone Bridge in 2009 as a Spanish teacher. She previously taught Spanish and English as a Second Language in Okaloosa County, Florida. She earned her Bachelors degree from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York and her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. She has always loved being involved in extracurricular activities in high school both as a student and as a teacher. While teaching in Florida she was a club and class sponsor as well as an Assistant Cross Country Coach and Head Coach of the Boys' and Girl's Tennis Team. At Stone Bridge, she co-sponsored the World Language Club, was the head Swim Coach for two years, and head Girls' Tennis Team coach for five years. As the Activities Coordinator, she helps clubs and organizations fundraise, recruit members, plan events, and assists the club and sponsors. Her main goal is to develop all students as leaders through the Inter Club Council (ICC). The ICC acts as a liaison between clubs, administration, and the community. ICC meets monthly and it is made up of the ICC officers and a representative from each club. Please check the Activities page for more information about clubs. 

    Dave Hembach - Athletic Director

    A native of Central New York, Mr. Hembach has a B.S. degree in Geology from SUNY @ Cortland and a M.S in Science Education from Syracuse Unversity.  He also served in the US Army.  After teaching briefly in New York, Mr. Hembach started teaching and coaching at Park View High School.  He served as Head Cross Country Coach and Head Girls Track Coach before taking over as Athletic Director in 1995.  In 1998 Mr. Hembach became a Certified Athletic Administrator.  In 1999 Mr. Hembach transferred to Stone Bridge High School to start the athletic program.  He assisted the Booster Club in fundraising projects to build a concession stand at the school's stadium, expand the weight room and build press boxes at the baseball and softball fields.  Stone Bridge was named the number one sports program in Virginia in 2007 by Sports Illustrated.  Mr. Hembach holds the distinct honor of being selected as the Group AAA Athletic Director of the Year by the Past Presidents Council of the Virginia Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (VIAAA).
