     WHS Alex Bennett

    Welcome to my Bio page! My name is Mr. Bennett and I am part of the Social Science and Global Studies department here at Woodgrove. I have been teaching in Loudoun County since 2006 and this will be my seventh year at Woodgrove after spending my first five years at Loudoun Valley.

    I received my Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Central Michigan University with a double major in Social Studies and History. I also have two  Master's degrees; the first in  Social Studies Education from Nova Southeastern University. And my second in Political Science from the American Military University.


    I have taught an array of classes in our department: U.S. History, Academic Government, AP Government and Dual Enrollment Government.

    Since 2010, I have been a volunteer firefighter at  Purcellville Volunteer Fire Company part of the combination system of Loudoun County Fire and Rescue.
