    Dear Third Grade students,

Hello!  Third grade is an exciting and busy year in elementary school.  We will be learning about many new things and also reviewing some of the things you learned last year in second grade. We are delighted to work with you and prepare you for your first SOL tests.

Please come by our classrooms and join us for our open house Wednesday, August 24 from 10:00 - 12:00. You are welcome to bring in your supplies that day, too. Be sure to bring your mom or dad along! Sully’s Back to School Event will be held on Wednesday, September 7 from 6:00 - 7:30.

We hope you are enjoying your summer and are reading every day! Remember the first day of school is Thursday, August 25, 2022. Remember that the doors open at 7:40 and the tardy bell rings at 8:00.

    See you soon!

    Estimados alumnos de Tercer Grado,

¡Hola!

Mrs. Brenn Galvez

Hello third grade students and parents! My name is Mrs. Brenn Galvez and I am very excited to start my 7th year at Sully, and my 10th year teaching. Teaching has been my dream job since I was in second grade! I am originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana but moved to Virginia six years ago. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary and Special Education from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. I also have my Master's degree through George Mason University in Literacy Leadership. Outside of school, I love to paint and write stories when I am not spending time with my husband and son.

I can't wait for another amazing year as a Sully Hornet!

Mr. Roger Brown

Hello, I look forward to becoming a Sully Hornet this year.  My wife Susan and I moved  from Houston, Texas in 2021.  We have 3 children and 3 grandchildren.  I was a substitute teacher  in the Fall of 2021 and became a site substitute at Sugarland Elementary School in January of 2022.  I enjoy watching sports, attending broadway shows and reading books.  Ask to see my socks!  It was my trademark at Sugarland.

Mr. Andrew Swauger

Hello 3rd grade students and parents of Sully Elementary School! I am so happy to be a part of the 3rd grade team and share my love of learning with all of you! I am from Pennsylvania and graduated from The University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I like to spend my free time fishing, golfing, playing guitar, and singing. The different ways I can help my students become engaged in topics and have fun while learning fascinate me more than anything else in the world. I cannot wait to see what amazing things our students can do with my help this upcoming school year! Feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, or for any other information about our class. This is going to be such a great school year! Go Hornets!
