Hi! My name is Colleen Bowns. I'm excited to be returning to teach first grade this fall! This year marks my thirteenth year as an educator and my ninth year in first grade. I taught kindergarten here at Sycolin Creek for four years before moving up to first grade. I grew up in Loudoun County and earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from High Point University in North Carolina. In my free time I enjoy exercising, cooking, reading, and watching baseball (Go Nats!). I'm passionate about education and I love everything about first grade; I'm looking forward to a fantastic year ahead!
