Professional BiographyNancy JacksonEnglish Language Learners Department
The Program: Our English Language Learners (EL) program is in its seventh year at Briar Woods High School. I am very proud of the progress all returning students made over the past school year and look forward to more of the same this year. I am proud of the many students, who through hard work and dedication to their own education, have exited the program. They will have a full schedule of non-ELL courses this year. Several other students have progressed to a partial ELL schedule joining the native language speakers in some of their core courses this year. I also wish to offer a warm welcome to our new students, and assure them that they will find success and friendship at Briar Woods High School. Our ELL student population currently represents eight different native languages from around the world.
