Melissa Murray Welcome Page
Melissa MurrayMelissa Murray, Special Education Teacher
Hello parents and students! This is my 9th year at Harmony Middle School, as well as in Loudoun County Public Schools. I graduated from George Mason University with a BA in Psychology, a Masters in Education, and a Virginia license to teach K-12 students with Disabilities who Access the General Curriculum. I currently run the SWS program at Harmony and work with 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. I am proud to be a Harmony Hornet!
There is never a time in my life where I want to stop learning and growing, and have received my Highly Qualified certification in Middle School Math. My goal is to become Highly Qualified in all subject areas at the Middle School level so I can best support my team.
I recently purchased a historic home in Loudoun County, which takes up the majority of my free time. When I am not working in the yard or on a house project, you will find me out in nature. I am a certified Yoga instructor, and also love to backpack, kayak, sail, run, hike, and ride my mountain bike. I love to also spend time in my garden, and if there is any spare time left in my day I might be found making jewelry, sewing, cooking, and playing with my adorable puppy, Theo.Staying Informed
