Martha W. Potts, 6th Grade English

My name is Ms. Potts and I am looking forward to our journey together this year in Reading and Writing.

I am originally from Richmond, VA. I earned my undergraduate degree in Mass Communications from Mary Baldwin College and my Masters of Teaching from Virginia Commonwealth University. I taught middle school for Richmond City Public Schools for 8 years. I moved to Loudoun County in 2004 and began teaching at Countryside Elementary. I then taught at Waterford Elementary and Newton-Lee Elementary.

I am elated to be a Harmony Hornet and a part of the sixth-grade team. I am looking forward to having a challenging and fun-filled year.

    Staying Informed

I post my assignments and class announcements through my Schoology classes. Please check there frequently for assignments, announcements, and other important information. Students can access their courses through the Schoology app in LCPSGo.

Parents are able to see each of their child's classes, including assignments, calendars, and notices. There is a link to Schoology in Phoenix.

Phoenix is the official grade book for all Loudoun County Public Schools. My grade book will be updated weekly. ParentVue
