Mrs. Kim has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and is certified to teach grades K-8.  She has taught in the states of Texas and Virginia.  She has been in teaching for over 15 years!

Mrs. Kim and her family live in Loudoun County. She has three adult children (One graduated from the International Relations program from the College of William & Mary, one graduated from the CMDA program at Virginia Tech, and one is at a military service academy)!  She and her husband are both teachers by profession.

Mrs. Kim enjoys teaching math and loves to help students to grow in their attitude and abilities when it comes to doing math.  She loves to convince students to have a Growth Mindset instead of a Fixed Mindset with math. When she has time, Mrs. Kim also enjoys going to Board & Brush for a DIY project, playing card games, cooking, hosting, and spending time with friends and family, going on date nights with her husband and eating yummy foods, putting care packages together for her sons, or watching a good action movie. She is looking forward to meeting her new students and having a hard-working and successful school year together!

    Grading
A student’s grade is based on what has been learned or mastered during the marking period.  The grade will reflect a student’s performance.  These are assessments that demonstrate a student’s mastery of the class content.

    Class Expectations:
    • Be on time and be prepared with all materials listed above, including your charged Chromebook.
    • Have homework completed at home, not during Resource.  Resource is a time to see your teachers for extra help.
    • ALWAYS show your work & do your work using a PENCIL & ERASER or your stylus pen!
    • Respect Self, Others, and Property.
