This is Mrs. Kim's 11th year at Seneca Ridge.  For the 2019-2020 school year, she is excited to teach Math to 6th Graders! Mrs. Kim has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and is certified to teach grades K-8.  She has taught in the states of Texas and Virginia.  This is her 14th year in teaching.

Mrs. Kim and her family live in Loudoun County. She has three adult children (One graduated from the College of William & Mary, and is currently going to grad school in St. Louis,  one graduated from the CMDA program at Virginia Tech, and one is at a military service academy)!  She and her husband are both teachers by profession.

Mrs. Kim enjoys teaching math and loves to help students to grow in their attitude and abilities when it comes to doing math.  She loves to convince students to have a Growth Mindset instead of a Fixed Mindset with math. When she has time, Mrs. Kim also enjoys going to Board & Brush for a DIY project, playing card games, hosting and spending time with friends and family, going on date nights with her husband and eating yummy foods, putting care packages together for her sons, or watching a good action movie.  This summer, Mrs. Kim got to host family visiting from CA and she also got to do a trip to Philly and the Eastern Shore. She and her husband celebrated their 25th  Anniversary at The Salamander in Middleburg! She is looking forward to meeting her new students and having a hard-working and successful school year together!
