    Mr. Miller is excited to begin his twenty-second year of teaching and is looking forward to making a positive impact on his students at Cedar Lane. This is his eighth year teaching 2nd grade and he is delighted to welcome the new class. His cheerful demeanor and enthusiastic attitude creates a fun and productive learning environment for his students. In his class, there are lots of fun projects that integrate technology, tons of guitar songs, and smiles all around. He grew up in Hagerstown, Maryland, where he also began his career, teaching 4th and 5th grade at St. Mary School for nine years. This is his thirteenth year in Loudoun County and his eleventh at Cedar Lane. He holds a Bachelors degree from Mount Saint Mary’s University in Elementary Education and also has a Masters degree in Reading from Frostburg State University. He holds Virginia state certification as an elementary teacher and a reading specialist. With his free time, Mr. Miller enjoys kayaking, mountain biking, skiing, and camping with his wife, Melissa, and daughter, Sahalie.
