This is Mrs. Stephens' 14th year of teaching and 9th year at Freedom High School. She graduated from college with a B.A. in Psychology. Following college she coached field hockey at the high school and college levels, worked with autistic children as a behavior therapist, and went back to school to complete her teaching certification in Social Sciences for Secondary Education. She has taught multiple history, drama and outdoor education courses. Recently she wrote and published a book on the history of the Ashburn Fire Department and organizes major social events for the fire department. She sponsors multiple activities and is an avid FSH arts and athletics spectator/fan. During the summer she is the Director of an Outdoor Adventure Camp and spends most days hiking, sailing, rock climbing, rafting and kayaking.
