• Ms. Hoover has worked in the education field for 17 years. Ms. Hoover has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with minor in Secondary Education from the College of William & Mary in Virginia.  In 2004, she earned a Master’s degree in Education Leadership, Planning and Policy with a specialty in gifted education from UVA’s Curry School. She has taught students in both private and public school settings in Virginia, ranging from grade 6 to postgraduate.  For 6 years, Kelly worked as an educational adviser for the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Young Scholars Program, where she helped high-achieving students nationwide meet the Foundation’s mission to reach their full potential through education (see www.jkcf.org). Now, in her fifth year as SPECTRUM Teacher at River Bend, Ms. Hoover helps each RBMS student in the program access their high potential through various challenging learning opportunities throughout the year.
