Mrs. Kathy Scott

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year. My name is Kathy Scott and I am thrilled to be your child's first grade teacher! This is my 21th year of teaching. I have taught in Fairfax County and Loudoun County. I earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from East Carolina University and received a Masters of Education from the University of Virginia. I am also certified in Developmental Reading. I live in Leesburg. I have 3 children, Jack, Marshall and Michaela. If I am not teaching, you can find me at our family beach house in Rehoboth. I love to read and I hope to instill a love of reading into each one of my students. I am looking forward to a fantastic first grade year!
