Welcome to Mrs. Donahue’s Second Grade Class of 2020-2021!  I am thrilled to be returning to Pinebrook for my 10th year (and starting my 24th year of teaching)! You may have seen me in the upper grade hallway in the past, where I had been a 5th grade teacher prior to coming to 2nd grade. I am a native of Northern Virginia.  I got my Bachelor’s degree from William & Mary in History and Elementary Education.  Later I received my Master’s degree in the area of Reading Education from University of Virginia.  Prior to joining the Pinebrook community, I spent 11 years teaching in Fairfax County--mostly 5th grade, but also 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.  Before that I taught 4th grade at a private school in Vienna.  My hobbies include scrapbooking, going to country music concerts, playing mini golf, reading, and traveling.  I love spending time with my husband and our (almost) 11-year-old son.  I’m looking forward to an awesome year!
