Welcome to Mrs. Donahue’s Second Grade Class of 2018-2019!  I am thrilled to be returning to Pinebrook for my 8th year (and starting my 22nd year of teaching)! You may have seen me in the upper grade hallway, where I've been a 5th grade teacher. This year I decided to make the switch to 2nd grade and I am super excited!  I am a native of Northern Virginia.  I got my Bachelor’s degree from William & Mary in History and Elementary Education.  Later I received my Master’s degree in the area of Reading from University of Virginia.  Prior to joining the Pinebrook community, I spent 11 years teaching in Fairfax County--mostly 5th grade, but also 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.  Before that I taught 4th grade for three years at a private school in Vienna.  My hobbies include scrapbooking, going to country music concerts, reading, and traveling.  I love spending time with my husband and our (almost) 9-year-old son.  I’m looking forward to an awesome year!
