MSAAC (Minority Student Academic Achievement Committee) is an active organization of students, parents, teachers and committee members. MSAAC is open to and welcomes all LCPS community members.

MSAAC:

• Champions opportunities to academic access and success for minority students.
• Generates awareness of academic resources within LCPS and the community.
• Promotes inclusivity, collaboration and unity through community.
• Advocates for minority students and their families through empowered delegates.
• Reviews policy & regulations to reduce gaps in access and opportunity.
  
  

Our Mission:

To partner with Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS), parents and the community to acknowledge and promote the needs of minority students. By building a school system that is culturally and socially competent and positioned to provide fair and equitable learning experiences for all students.

2023-24 Focus Areas:

While MSAAC continues to address a variety of initiatives impacting students. During the 2023-24 academic year we will particularly focus on two areas:   

• Resource Awareness and Access:
  • • Parent and student empowerment; increase knowledge of actions needed to achieve academic success
      
      

• Racial Slurs & Hate Speech:
  • • It is on the rise within the LCPS’s; why it is happening, the impact and how to stop the trend.
      
      

General Body Meetings:

These meetings are held monthly and open to the public. Parents and students are encouraged to attend. Meet school delegates and learn about resources within LCPS.

The meetings are held at LCPS Administration Building: 21000 Education Ct., Ashburn, VA 20148
