Buffalo Trail Elementary School
Hello! My name is Wendy Breeden and I am the reading specialist at Buffalo Trail Elementary School. I am thrilled to be teaching in this beautiful school! This is my 11th year with Loudoun County Public Schools and my 9th year as a reading specialist. Before teaching with Loudoun, I was with Fauquier County Public Schools as a reading specialist and first grade teacher. My career began with Manassas Park City Schools. There I taught 4th grade and kindergarten. I have found my niche as a reading teacher. I love helping children become proficient readers and working with teachers to enhance their language arts programs.
I was born and raised in Michigan. I received my B.S. from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. After moving to Virginia, I received my M.A. from George Mason University. I enjoy attending professional conferences to further enhance my teaching.
I live near Warrenton, Virginia in the little village of Casanova. I live on a small horse farm with my husband, two horses, one donkey, two dogs, and a cat. When I’m not at school, I am very busy training my young horse in dressage. We will begin competing at recognized dressage shows this summer. I also enjoy snorkeling, cooking and readin, of course!
