Dr. Cynthia Miller is Tuscorora High School's Instructional Facilitator for Technology (IFT).The IFT is a technology consultant available to help teachers integrate technology to support instruction in the classroom. Teachers work with the IFT when they are looking for ideas for integration, resources to support curriculum and instruction, help using hardware or software, providing an extra pair of hands for project-based learning, and generally helping teachers become effective users of technology. IFT Menu of Support - The primary goal of coaching is to improve teacher skillfulness that results in an increase in student learning in the following LCPS Initiatives: Personalized Learning (PL), Project Based Learning (PBL), and Bring Your Own Technology (BYOT).
Bounce innovative ideas off one another and share resources.
IDENTIFY RESOURCES –
Locate those hard to find lesson ideas and online resources.
Collaboratively plan a lesson or series of lessons that meet best practices.
Provide feedback and offer resources to support instruction.
PPERSONALIZED LEARNING CONSULTANT - Provide guidance in developing your PL classroom activities to tranform your lessons into highly engaging, flexible content that targets instruction based upon data that allows student choice and voice.
DEMONSTRATION LESSON –
Demonstrate a lesson or use of a technology tool in the classroom.
TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT –
Assist in using available technology resources to deliver interactive lessons that enhance student engagement and achievement.
Help design assignments or scaffoleded activities and assessments to meet learner needs.
After planning collaboratively, co-teach a lesson together.
USING DATA –
Collaboratively analyze formative assessments to make instructional decisions.
Through conversation and observation, reflect on student learning in the classroom and brainstorm resources or strategies.
