Welcome to Kenneth W. Culbert Elementary School!  Here at Ken Culbert Elementary, we have guiding principles to provide a safe, positive, nurturing school environment, which fosters individuality and educational risk taking.  As the Principal at Ken Culbert Elementary School, my goal is to facilitate a climate where each student is successful every day they enter the school building.

From 2014-2017, I have embraced the school community at Ken Culbert Elementary School as the Assistant Principal.  Prior to that, I started my teaching career in Loudoun County Public Schools as a special education teacher and Consulting Teacher with the Office of Pupil Services.  I was also the Assistant Principal at Steuart Weller Elementary School from 2010-2014.

The school’s namesake, Ken Culbert, often said, “What I do today is very important because I am trading a day of my life for it.”  We here at Ken Culbert Elementary feel every day is important to make a child successful.  My goal is for us to work together to create an amazing team for all our students.  I have an open door policy and encourage community members/parents to reach out anytime monica.edwards@lcps.org  I look forward to another great school year for our Culbert community.  We are Culbert Strong!
