I earned my undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech in Elementary Education PK-7 and Intellectual Disabilities K-12. Go HOKIES!! After teaching 6th grade Middle School regular education for several years in Prince William County, I traveled to Evanston, IL to attend Northwestern University where I completed my Masters' Degree in Learning Disabilities K-12. Throughout the years I have taught Preschool through 6th grade, regular education and special education, in both Fairfax and Loudoun Counties. My husband and I live in Ashburn, VA and have 3 beautiful daughters! I consider it an honor and a privilege to say that I am teaching here at Steuart Weller Elementary School where I am part of a wonderful faculty and staff.Beth Webster
Hi Parents and Students! My name is Beth Webster and I am excited to be the 4th grade Resource Teacher this year. This is my fourth year at Steuart Weller and my third year in the 4th grade. My educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in child development and a Master's degree in special education from Liberty University. I have 2 daughters; Grace is in 8th grade and Ava is in 5th.
As a resource teacher, I co-teach in the general education classroom, as well as provide intervention reading, writing and math groups. I value and welcome input from my students' families, so please do not hesitate to contact me anytime. Here's to another terrific year!
My name is Phylicia Fisher and I feel so fortunate to join the Steuart Weller community. My previous teaching experience includes working as a Special Education teacher for the last four years in Austin, Texas. Prior to my time in Texas, I taught for two years at a private school in DC. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Inclusive Elementary and Special Education from Syracuse University. This summer I completed my graduate degree in Elementary Education at Texas State University. This July I moved to Ashburn with my husband and our dog Lucy. In my free time I enjoy cooking, baking, reading, and scrapbooking. I'm excited to get to know your child and partner with you this year. As a resource teacher I provide instruction in small group reading, writing, math, and co-teach in all subject areas. Outside of school, I enjoy walks with my dog "Cookie" and spending time with my family. Before coming to Loudoun County Public Schools, I taught at a private school in Frederick, MD, servicing special education students at the elementary level. Previously, I taught 4 years in Maryland Public Schools, teaching in the classroom in first and fifth grades, and teaching special education intervention in elementary.
I studied at Hood College, in Frederick, MD, graduating in 2010 with a degree in elementary and special education. I am working on my American Sign Language Certificate, and plan to begin my Master’s courses in Fall 2017, back at Hood College, while continuing to teach here at Steuart W. Weller.I was born and raised in Middletown, MD, living in the area all my life. I currently live near my parents in Middletown, MD, with my 3 “wild cats,” and my dog.
