My name is Shannon Cornell and I have been one of the ELL teachers since the school opened in 2008. I am very excited to be a part of the Weller family for another great year.A little about me: I grew up in a rural town outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Because of my childhood, I have a passion for the outdoors. I love to bike, hike, camp, and just relax by a lake. I also love to take photos. I can't leave home without my camera. I am married and have 2 sons. They both attended Steuart Weller which has made this school like a home for me.After graduating high school, I attended Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary/Early Childhood Education with a specialization in mathematics. In addition, I earned my endorsement in English as a Second Language through George Mason University. Recently, I enrolled in American College of Education and attained a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year. I am sure it will be a great one!Sujen NawrotI joined Steuart Weller Elementary School in 2009 after spending 5 years in Fairfax Public Schools. Later I earned a Master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.I love the diversity of our students. They are motivated to learn the English language. At the same time, they have so much to share about their culture and customs. In my leisure time, I like to cook, travel, and spend time with my two daughters.Katy CurlingMrs. Curling is excited to be back at Steuart Weller in the EL Department for the 2019-2020 school year!
