What is the LCPS App?

Powered by Blackboard, the LCPS app pulls together in one place the most frequently used content from the LCPS website and social media platforms.  The app translates content into 65 languages and enables the district to issue push notifications to the mobile device in the event of school closures or other emergencies.  LCPS district content is always available to users on the app, but the app also allows for customization so that the user can follow the school or schools of his or her choice. 

For example, if a parent has students in an elementary, middle and high school, the parent can choose to follow all three schools in order to have all of that information channeled to one convenient place.

We encourage parents, staff, secondary students and other community members interested in LCPS to download and use the app.

The app is available to download FREE of charge from both the apple and google stores.  Just go to the app store and search “Loudoun County Public Schools.”

 You can touch the widget to open the app and customize your view.  The app will show you a list of schools from which to choose, or you can visit the settings widget to change the preferences at any time.  Just select the school that you wish to follow.  (Schools are listed in alphabetical order by grade level - High, Middle, and Elementary.)
