• Loudoun Youth Guitars  
    Loudoun Youth Guitars is a performing group made up of select guitar students from Loudoun County, or students by Loudoun teachers. LYG performs throughout Loudoun County and the Metropolitan Area. They have given performances at the Croatian Embassy, the National Institute of Health, the Composer Society of Montgomery County, Loudoun County Public Libraries, Salisbury University, and other venues. Dr. Miroslav Loncar conducts the orchestra and  Dr. Natasa Klasinc-Loncar is the assistant director.
    Auditions for the 2018/2019 Loudoun Youth Guitars will be held on Wednesday, September 5 and Thursday, September 6,  at 7 p.m. at Park View High School. (Use the side entrance B6). New and returning students need to audition.
    LYG will practice on Wednesday nights, 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Park View High School. First practice will be September 12. There will be a mandatory meeting for all students and parents on September 12 at 6:30!
    Audition Requirements:
    1. Play a solo piece of choice or a part from an ensemble piece.
    2. Chose which part you want to audition for, and prepare the required  scales. (Director reserves the right to assign the parts based on the needs of the group.)
    Guitar 1
    Em in VII, C in VIII, A in IX, D in X and E in XII position.
    Guitar 2
    Am in V, Em in VII , C in VIII, A in IX position
    Guitar 3
    E in I position, A in IV
    Guitar 4
    E in I, D in II position with drop-D tuning.
    3. Sight-read in the appropriate positions.
