• Marketing I  (Co-op and Non- Co-op)
     
     
    The Marketing I classes prepare students for further study, on the high school or collegiate level, in the areas of marketing, advertising, and business management.  This course is also excellent for helping students to develop 21st Century Skills of communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity.  Students will develop competencies needed by marketing workers in the areas of human relations, communications, advertising and promotion, sales and marketing strategy.  The marketing class emphasizes self-representation skills and team building skills.
     
    Students may elect to enroll in Marketing I NON-COOP or Marketing I COOP.  The instruction and academic requirements for these two classes are the same.  Non-Coop is a one credit elective, with grading based solely on academic assessments from the classroom.  The Marketing I COOP class is a TWO credit elective, with grading based on the combination of academic assessments plus on-the job evaluations.  The COOP student must remain employed in a marketing related job for the school year, and earn a total of 396 hourse within that time period.  The marketing teacher-coordinator visits the job site once per quarter to obtain job evaluation from the employer.
