Technical Theatre I and II
In Technical Theatre, my goal is to broaden the horizons of technical theatre for all my students as well as introduce those truly more interested in technical theatre to the world where they will live and thrive.1st Quarter - consists of Introduction to Tools, an in-depth tour of the entire theatre space including props, costume, dressing, and storage rooms, utility closets, sound and lighting booths, stage, house, and lobby spaces. We also begin Scale Drawings, Floorplans, Set Design, and Model Building. During the second part of the quarter, our class focus will be to support and assist the show going up.
2nd Quarter - consists of choosing, identifying, and arranging in-class the many required components for a Production Notebook of a One-Act play. Also, we introduce and thoroughly review any outstanding components of the Production Notebook.
