    Daily Ensemble Rehearsal Timeline:

    5 minutes:       PREP TIME
    -  Students should get their instrument out and individually warm up and tune.
    -  Students need to have a folder with their own copy of music, pencil, chromatic tuner, and any necessary musical supplies (mutes, reeds, valve oil, sticks/mallets, rosin, etc.).
    -  Students need to be seated, ready to go within five minutes of the class bell ringing.
15 minutes:     BELLRINGER AND WARM UP
    -  Scale of the week in whole notes, eighth notes, and a rhythm of the day.
    -  Section leaders will check tuning/intonation.
    -  Class will perform a chorale and/or sight-reading exercise.
    -  Students will also read the musical terminology of the day and describe its use and where it falls in their musical selection.
    -  Any announcements about upcoming activities or musical opportunities will be shared.
    20 minutes:     SONG SELECTION 1
    -  Ensemble will run through a selection from the previous rehearsal, checking to see if practicing was accomplished at home.
    -  An evaluation/assessment or correction of the material performed will be addressed.
    5 minutes:       STRETCH
    -  The ensemble will take a short break to grab a drink of water, readdress intonation by tuning again, and prepare for the second half of the rehearsal.
    20 minutes:     SONG SELECTION 2
    -  New material from a musical selection will be intensely worked to include breathing, rhythms, dynamics, notation, bowings, fingerings, etc.
    20 minutes:     SONG SELECTION 3
    -  Scaffolding onto a previous class period, music will be rehearsed with additional measures to build onto the concert repertoire.
    -  The ensemble will learn/show an understanding of musicality, blend, balance, and working towards the aesthetic performance.
5 minutes:       WRAP UP AND LOOKING AHEAD
    -  Students will identify difficult measures in their music and will be assigned sections to work on at home for the next class period.
    -  Director will reinforce any announcements that were made previously.
    -  Instrument, sheet music, and materials will be put away neatly and the chairs and music stands will be organized for the next rehearsal.
