3^rd World Farmer is a serious, thought-provoking survival and business strategy simulation game where you have to manage an impoverished African farm in the dried out Sub-Saharan desert. This is an exceptional role playing game, and gives students a first hand insight into the extreme challenges faced by the starving, struggling farmers of the developing nations. You have to make tough moral and survival decisions in order to provide for your underprivileged family while enduring droughts, disease, poverty, corruption and war. How ethical will you be when you need to pay your ailing family’s food and medical bills? Will you accept virtual money for storing chemical waste or housing terrorists?

The deal is: Your mission is to help the head of the family turn this developing nation farm into a commercial success! You must carefully budget and decide which crops to grow each year to survive. There are several crops to choose from (corn, wheat, cotton and peanuts) and some prove to be more risky than others providing potentially large earnings or huge losses. Make enough money to invest in the necessary tools such as plows, harvesters, and tractors to improve crop yields. Increase your capital by investing in essential buildings such as sheds, wells, and barns. Remember , all investments have risks!! For example, wells dry up, barns can be destroyed, and livestock can be stolen. Don’t get too greedy! You must prioritize your family’s health first, or they may weaken and be struck down by a deadly disease.

Free Bridge builder/Brain-teaser Game: The aim of the game is to build a solid bridge across a canyon within the allocated budget given. Once you complete the bridge, strange little creatures will try to cross the bridge, and will test it for you in full. Learning physics is made fun through this game, and it is a huge challenge getting the bridge structure right. The bridge building challenge increases significantly as you progress from levels 1 to 3!

You should only connect pieces from end to end only. Do not connect a supporting piece to the middle of some other piece (it is a weak link if you need to connect in the middle). Break the bridge piece into two parts, and only then connect the supporting piece to the junction. Use metal pieces only where the strength of wooden pieces would not be sufficient.

Use your mouse and keys to build the bridge: Click from one point to another to lay a piece of the bridge. Press the ESC button on your keyboard to deselect a piece. You can click on an existing piece to remove it or you can click on a section anchor point and press the Delete button to remove the section. Press the T key to see how your bridge holds up and if it can support its own weight. Press ESC to return to the construction phase when your testing is done and something needs to be fixed.

Flight is a straight-forward, easy play, fun flight control game. Goals are set to get your airplane the farthest distance. Strong problem solving skills are required to figure out how to complete each level.
