Mrs. Christina Powell & Mrs. Mary Beth Andrews
This is Christina Powell’s tenth year at Catoctin and she is excited to be teaching ECSE. She earned her Master of Science degree in Special Education from Johns Hopkins University and holds her Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Trinity University in Washington, D.C. Mrs. Powell was nominated for the SEAC award for Recognition of Excellence in Supporting Special Education for the 2018-2019 school year.
Mrs. Powell has been married for almost 20 years, has a son in middle school, a daughter in high school, and two chinchillas. She has worked in grades PK-8 in different states and school systems. At Catoctin, Mrs. Powell has taught 4th, 1st, and 2nd grade and ECSE is her favorite.
Mrs. Andrews is excited to be a returning Cardinal. This will be her eight year with LCPS Special Education and her fourth year in ECSE. She graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College and earned a certificate in Foundations of Autism from Virginia Commonwealth University. She and her husband live on a small farm in Hamilton and raise chickens and Tennessee Fainting Goats.
