Early Childhood Education I Course Summary
Students enrolled in ECE I participate in the on-site preschool at WHS. Students are responsible for supporting the learning of the children enrolled in our Head Start Program. In addition, each student completes indivudual and group assignments that reflect on his/her experience(s) in the preschool.
Early Childhood Education I Syllabi
Early Childhood Education I at Woodgrove High School is a Dual Enrollment Course through Northern Virginia Community College. Students earn 6 college credits for the course. The course is a compilation of NOVA's CHD 120 (3 cr) and CHD 145 (3 cr).
Requirements for entry into Woodgrove High School's Head Start Preschool Program
All students enrolled in Early Childhood Education I must have a current TB screening on file with LCPS (typically done over the summer months).
All students enrolled in Early Childhood Education I must have a signed Code of Conduct form, provided by LCPS during the first few weeks of class.
