Welcome to the SEARCH site! I have been teaching for 22 years, the last 10 years in the Gifted Department.  I earned a B.A from the University of Pittsburgh, and a M.Ed from George Mason University.

Before joining the Gifted Department of Loudoun County Public Schools, I taught Spanish at the secondary and elementary levels.  I was very fortunate to have learned Spanish as a second language and spent a semester in Spain during college.  During my first few years of teaching, I spent my school breaks traveling and volunteering.  After earning a M.Ed in Instructional Technology, I spent several years conducting technology staff development.

I live in Purcellville with my husband, daughter and pets. I love cooking, reading, visitiing new places and learning new things.  Teaching is a natual extension of those interests, I learn so much during my time with students. I recently become a volunteer at the local animal shelter and I'm learning to sew.

I look forward to working with the amazing students of Dominion Trail ES and Cedar Lane ES this school year!
