I am a 16 year veteran of Loudoun County Public Schools and a 19-year veteran of teaching. I've taught 2nd and 3rd grade, and also English in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.  But my love for books brought me to the Lunsford library.  This is my happy place and I'm happy to share it with the amazing students of J. Michael Lunsford!  The avid readers at our school challenge me each and every day to help them find their next great book.  I am impressed by the dedication and motivation to read shown by the students at Lunsford.  It is truly a delight to help you navigate the books and technology in our library and to teach you good digital citizenship skills.  I look forward each day to assisting you find quality literature that extends your learning beyond the classroom.
I currently live in Lovettsville, VA with my husband, three kids, and German Shepherd dog, Pria.  My hobbies include: reading (well, yeah!), making soap, and crafting.  I'd love to hear about your hobbies, too!  Be sure to make the library someplace you go each and every week!

    Stacie Holzberger, Librarian
This is my first year on the Lunsford Library Team after teaching English 8 for the past 22 years. I spent my first 17 years teaching English, Journalism, and Theater classes in Rockingham County Public Schools, also in Virginia. I've been with Loudoun for five years and taught English 8 at River Bend Middle School before joining the Lunsford staff this school year. I am certified K-6, Secondary English, and now also as a School Library Media Specialist.
I have had a love for reading since childhood, and I always knew I wanted to be a librarian "when I grew up." I am so excited to join the staff here at Lunsford and to get students hooked on reading! I live in Charles Town, WV, with my husband and four children and can be found at the nearest lake or beach when not at school. I can't wait to meet the students at Lunsford this year and help them get their reading journey started!
Please contact me at stacie.holzberger@lcps.org with any questions!

I am very excited to be part of the library team at J. Michael Middle School. I am married and have 2 boys, a senior at Middleburg Academy and a sixth grader here at Lunsford.
I am originally from Egypt and I moved to Virginia in 2005.I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Library Studies from Cairo University and started off my career as a Librarian for UNESCO. Consequently, I held several administrative positions until I started substituting and volunteering for LCPS in 2012. I look forward to getting to know the students and my colleagues throughout this school year.
In my free time, I explore cooking different types of international cuisines. In addition, my family and I enjoy going on vacations exploring different beaches where we can take advantage of all the water activities. I also grab any opportunity when I have time to myself to read a good book. Looking forward to another wonderful year at JML!
