    Mrs.Kadie Jones, Librarian

I am super excited for the new school year to begin! I have been teaching in Loudoun County for the past 16 years.  I started my career as a first grade teacher at Mill Run Elementary for four years and continued on to teach third grade there for another four years. I began my first year as a librarian at Steuart Weller in the fall of 2011.  I enjoyed every minute of it and look forward to continuing to serve in the wonderful community at Steuart Weller.

I am originally from Morgantown, WV where I graduated from West Virginia University with a Masters degree in Elementary Education. GO Mountaineers!!  I also have a Masters degree in Library Science from Catholic University.

On my free time I enjoy spending time with family who reside in Morgantown, WV and Australia.  I enjoy reading, working out, cooking, and traveling.  I have a nine year old daughter who keeps me very busy with her spirited zest for life. She is very much into books and aspires to be an author, illustrator, and librarian! I also have a six year old girl who is quite the little monkey. She loves climbing trees and taking care of animals. She is also super excited about learning to read this past year in kindergarten!  We enjoy so many wonderful picture and chapter books together!

I truly enjoy working with children particularly helping them develop the necessary skills needed to succeed in the digitally, information rich environment they are growing up in.  My goal is to instill information literacy and technology skills that will allow for students to become lifelong learners.

I am your Librarian Assistant.  I am originally from London, England, although I have lived here in the United States for over 20 years, raising two wonderful daughters and both of them love to read as much as I do! I have been working for Loudoun County Public Schools for the past 11 years as first a bus driver and now as a library assistant.

I recently became a United States citizen. The experience of becoming a U.S. citizen has given me a great appreciation for what a wonderful country this really is.

I too really enjoy working with young students and one of my biggest goals is to show everyone how much fun reading can be!
